Big Band Boogie Ball celebrates 28 years

Friday February 10th will be the 28th anniversary of Greeley Central High School’s Big Band Boogie Ball, a fundraiser for the GCHS music department. The Big Band Swing dance, open to the public, will feature music by Greeley Central, Chappelow and Brentwood Jazz Bands. The Greeley Central High School Orchestra will perform a set of waltzes and the Kream of the Krop Big Swing Band will also perform. The dance will feature over 230 performers and has an annual attendance of over 700 participants. Tickets are $15 for students/seniors(65+) or $20 for adults and are available from Music Depot, any GCHS musician or at the door. The dance runs from 7:30pm-11:00pm at the UNC Ballroom( 20th street and 11th Ave). There will be a silent auction that opens at 6:00pm and dance lessons that start at 7:00pm. Join the thousands of patrons that have “danced the night away” over the past 28 years in this annual night of swing music and swing dancing.
